2013 CHEER INFO
5/3 Riverbank Run- Varsity, JV and FR cheerleaders have the Spirit Station at the Riverbank Run this year on Saturday 5/11. Participation in highly encouraged as the cheerleaders are trying to win the cash prize for the best spirit station AND it is a great way to meet other cheerleaders and have some fun with the football team too! Bagels and drinks will be provided by the Football Boosters, but the girls should eat something before they come to the race. It is usually rainy and cold, so the girls should come dress in their Grandville Gear from head to toe (make up on, hair done with a bow, cheer shoes) and be dropped off between 7:15 and 7:30 at Indian Mounds Drive and Wilson or park in Johnson Park and walk to the station that is over the bridge. We have the same location as last year.
GHS CHEER BBQ FUNDRAISER will be held on June 19. ALL GHS cheerleaders will be participating and will be required to sell 20 or more tickets for the program fundraiser. This year the BBQ will be a pig roast including a pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw, baked beans, dessert and drinks for $10. A $5 kids meal will also be available this year due to popular demand.
Grandville Cheer Blood Drive: Save the date of Tuesday, June 25th because Michigan Blood has booked Grandville Cheer for this VERY EASY way to raise some money for camp and accounts. This will be an account fund raiser for the girls and also a program fund raiser. The program/accounts will receive $10.00 for every person that comes in. We will send out tickets for the girls to write their names on and circulate to their friends, family & supporters. Michigan Blood will also send out a request to all of their listed area donors to come out as well. All of the $ raised by donors without a cheerleader ticket (or verbal request for a cheerleader’s account) will go to the program.
Golf Outing Fund Raiser: On June 29 the Athletic Boosters are hosting a golf outing and GHS cheer has been asked to "host a hole" to raise some money for the program. We will be doing a contest (closest to megaphone or longest drive marked my megaphone). I have attached the registration form if you would like to golf and participate in raising funds. We will also need 2 parents to work from 8-10am at our hole and 2 more parents to work from 10-12 at our hole.
Registration Form:golf outing
Car Wash Personal Account Fund Raiser- On July 20 from 11:30-2:30 there will be an opportunity for any cheerleader to wash cars at the Summer Fun Extravaganza at Grandville Central Self Storage at 2900 Wilson. The cheerleaders that work the event will split the proceeds for their own cheer accounts.
